S3 8L Aluminium Mirror Screws

Hello.

Im wondering if anyone could point me in the direction to source the 3 screws to fit the aluminium mirror covers to my 02 S3.

I have tried my local VW/Audi stealer but they said that the screws are not available because apparently the mirror is not designed for my car, even though i have test fitted them and they will fit. If anyone has an idea of the size and type of screw I need, i might try a local hardware store.

Any help would be appreciated.

Said the same to me but got the full mirrors and had the screws that came out, well four of the lol

any idea what size they were and type of screw? i think they are supposed to be a T10 torx but I cant find them anywhere haha

The same screws the screw into the normal mirrors. Only 2 hold mine in atm.

Cheers @westcoast a3. Oddly enough @Gops, my normal plastic ones didnt come with screws, the pressure holds them in and they pop out. I think pre-facelift S3 came with screws and the design was slightly different, whereas the post facelift like my 02 BAM came without screws.

That's odd, my facelift mirrors came with screws. Order some PFL screws

I contacted the guy who I bought the mirrors from. Luckily he had 4 of the screws left, T10 torx, he also gave me two phillips head screw with similar dimensions and they fit, so happy days. Im more annoyed with the VW/Audi dealer saying that the mirror covers will not fit, and I would need the whole unit. It was like they didnt want to supply the screws as the car didnt come with the mirrors from the factory. Cheers lads @Gops & @westcoast a3
