Well l used the big boi pressure washer today it's not that big shall we say, first rate build quality, ease of use, very quiet,8m hose is a god send, the 4 interchangeable nozzles are very good, the supplied snowfoam lance is excellent but it's not powerful enough...for my liking so back to the drawing board may look at a k5/k7 or similar as l need a pressure washer that's far more powerful the bb is only 1600 watts, for sale if anyone is interested £150
Could you send it back and say you're not happy with the item and get a full refund?

From whom did you order nano coat from as its been sold out for the past 7 months...also if you get some delivered as in the past some folks haven't even got it when they've ordered it,it will be out of date....date of manufacture is on the bottom of the bottle,my 2 bottles where 2 years old...and when opened it started to solidify you'll see some tiny little gel particles at the bottom of the bottle....these clog up the spray head and tube inside the bottle up...which is a waste....and to be honest this is by far the best product l have ever used its amazing, dont spray it on to the paint, use a sponge applicator and dab it on it...leave to cure for no more than say 7 mins then buff off, applying to no more than 2 panels at a time, half a bumper half of the bonnet etc etc and it works best on clean paint ie not on top of any other product....2 layers will look, feel and behave like a quality ceramic coating hydrophobicity is amazing

I had a K5 premium for 10 years before it passed away mate. A shame on the BB, but I did wonder as often best to stick to the specialists. Kranzle?

I go through at least 1 karcher K4 every year mate a kranzle is like £600 given that it's highly unlikely that'll get my money back for this washer ....then add the cost of a kranzle that's a no no ....av got a 3 weeks holiday and a new car to save up for this year.....that's my main priority
Besides l gave Jordan my working K4 so going to swap him with the bb for the time ....its a horrendous thing to use....but it shouldn't be long til it blows to smithereens anyway lol

I changed my K5 (which eventually died as I said) for a K4 Premium Full Control for about £189, and came with 4 year warranty - cleanstore.co.uk

My last 2 k4s l got ie in the last 18 months l paid £149 and £159 ...l still standby my opinion that the k4's are cheaply manufactured and dont last...l had a K4 that blew up after 10 minutes "smoke and sparks" ... of use its replacement lasted a week ie used it on 2 cars...pump casing shattered poor quality plastic weld and the 3rd replacement lasted just over a year...they are junk ...l can get a k5 for £250 right at this point in time but l don't have any motivation to buy just....now,but in general karcher pressure washers ain't made the way they use to be...they are currently very expensive £189 to over £200 ...as l said l have a K4 left ...it'll do me till things get back to some normality
On a side note the quick connect nozzles that are supplied with the big boi l aint entirely sold on these ...prefer just a variable nozzle ie one supplied with a karcher....

thats a little bit disappointing to hear, i have had my current k2 for about 7yrs and was looking at this as a possible upgrade. It looks so much better built and compact than the newer Karcher models

But surely a 4 year warranty means any issues it gets replaced. You have clearly had bad luck with them, and this is my 1st K4. Next time it will be a Kranzle, as you can get pretty good ones for under £350.

But agree, not the time to spend loadsa cash.

What are the T&C’s around the four year warranty? Best to check that out, as usually there is always a trap door for the customers to fall through! Periodic servicing etc.

Its basically a posh K2, pressure in real world terms is on par with a K2 but build quality is way higher and comes with a 3 year warranty

Bought quite a bit. As i wrecked my green hex logic pad on my first attempt at machine polishing my car. The backing came away from the pad, spoke to a few different people and a think a did a few little things that added up.

didn’t prime the pad enough, using too high a speed (watched a few videos which suggested using the speeds) and too much pressure even though a thought a was being really careful pressure wise. Oh well you learn from your mistakes.

ordered 2x green Hex logic lads 5.5” & a 4” one, a new drying towel. A new soft bilthamber clay bar and a couple of new foam applicators.

Gonna practice on the wifes polo now as it horrendous and covered in all kinds of marks

Very true but have never had issues with karcher warranty in the past, and as mentioned many times, the K5 I had lasted probably 10 years

Wow, you must have used some pressure! Best is to rotate pads, so if you are doing a whole car, you probably want 4-5 pads (at least that is what I do) and haven’t ruined a pad “yet”. But to be fair this was in a X3

What power output has a Kranzle that costs £350 for me it's got to have at least a 2kw motor the basic kranzle I've seen starts from £407 naked ie without lance, gun, hose
I like the look of this one but its £580

That just looks like excellent build quality. I’m sure the money is well worth it.

it was only my first ever attempt and did the hole car in one continuous run. To be honest i didnt think i was applying any pressure at all as i had watched videos and i only had the one pad. Hence av bought a few pads this time and the wifes car is much smaller than mine so should easily be ok.

I wasn’t critiquing mate, we all live and learn. I figured you might have used the one pad for the whole car, without stopping

So it’s not worth the swap when my K2 is still functioning.

Dont get me wrong It's a bit more powerful than a K2 and better to use than a K2 ,k4,or most run of the mill karchers but l need a pressure washer than can also do my driveway and rear patio and its no use for that tougher job,the foam lance is amazing you could actually snowfoam 3 cars with just one bottle of mixture....its so well made and not bulky like a K4 is...

can i ask where you got yours from at such a good price? I might have a bit more read up on them.

I will take all the hints/tips i can get, i went back and re-watched the videos i had been using as a guide. Turns out i got the speeds completely wrong i was using a completely wrong speed setting. Don’t know where a got that from. Oh well round 2 coming up soon.

i know i am not gonna be as good as most but as long as a see an improvement it gives me something to aim for. I would usually pay for someone to do it but I really enjoyed being outside by myself without the kids climbing all over me.

Ultimate finish detailing are the sole retailer of this pressure washer
I did write a review of the big boi on their website that was on Monday and they have not yet posted it and l dont expect they will as it wasn't all positive as l mentioned the actual working power was nowhere near the claimed output from the manufacturer

I replaced my 10 year old K5 compact with a K5 full control last black Friday for £250. I stuck with the K5 instead of the K4 as we have lots of patio to do. Over the last couple of weeks I have cleaned patios at my Mams, a neighbours and ours which is probably well over 300sq meters in total and I still have our drive to do.

So the larger motor just made sense, the K7 was stupid money but I don't regret buying another K5. The hose is longer, like the rubber ones so does not coil as much, I already had a lot of Karcher attachments so didn't want to look at other models. It uses less water too, which is a bonus.

I am not sure if this is correct but it does make; when my old one died I read that small blasts causing the motor to stop and start is not healthy for it so its best to keep it going for as long as possible.

Also making sure that there is no air in the hose pipe that feeds it is crucial. I now set it up, hook it up to the water, remove the gun and fill my alloy wheel bucket up. The instructions mentioned to run water through it for 5 mins before use.

What I don't get is that after use the instructions tell you to turn the tap off and run it for 30 seconds to flush the water out of it. When I do this there is still a trickle of water.

Sold the big boi put it on gumtree this morning and 30 minutes later it was gone and got my K4 back off Jordan but l do plan on getting a new pressure washer and snowfoam lance in a few weeks time, the one supplied by autoglym snowfoam pack is identical to the one l got with the big boi so probably opt for that one

Well today I received my Karcher K4 compact, got it t a good price and delivery was 48hrs and just before the sunny Bank Holiday I got it from https://www.cleanstore.co.uk/index.asp from £140 delivered which was the best deal I could find online in the UK that would deliver it ASAP.

Not tried it out yet as fitted my B9 S5 with dynamic mirrors indicators so hopefully the sun continues so I can wash the beast
