Greetings
After years of driving company cars I acquired my mum's old W reg 1.8T sport 5 door, which she had owned from nearly new.
It's given me years of great service, but now various bits and bobs are failing. It's done 152k miles, has some dents and scratches, but still drives like a dream on the motorway. It is a horrible browny red colour, cloth interior, full sunroof, bose sound system.
I came across the forum when searching for guidance on how to mend a leak in the passenger footwell!
I love the car and am considering buying another for spares, if i can find one.
So please let me know if you come across an 8L 1.8 T sport, ideally a 5 door
Stuff to do:
Under windscreen rain scuttle and associated trim bits
Glove box lid (mine broke at the hinges)
Electric Mirrors replacement knob and underneath bit (my knobbly bit broke of, so i can't operate the mirrors)
Plastic bit that rear parcel shelf string attaches to.
Need at some point soon:
Some new alloys & tyres
Plus loads of suspension bits - the suspension knocks like a bad un,it has done this ever since I owned it -nothing has fixed it
Jobs already done
New power steering rack 150k
New front discs and pads 149k
New Alternator & battery 142k
New Clutch pedal 138k
Timing belt, tensioner, idler, water pump 125k
Serviced annually/every 10k miles. Masses of paperwork
Thanks for looking
