My car is in production; but they said they can’t say what stage it is at- which is not what I have heard from others here.

That's weird your status 10 has a Feb date and your status 00 has an April date, you'd think it would be the other way round ...

My original JSON output didn't show a status 00. It only showed 10 which makes sense as that is when it has been accepted by the factory and the tracker starts working. The 00 is the welcome code; which to be fair isn't important.

The thing I don't understand is why the tracker is apparently one step ahead of the actual situation? that suggests to me that when it enters QC the tracker will show it as in transit!

I am sure that by reading through the forum you can see the rough time frame; but what you have to remember (and what I will need to remember from this weekend myself) is that it takes 2-3 days to get from the factory in south Germany/Austria (depending on model). Then it will sit at the port waiting for a ship. This can take up to another 7 days. Then it takes only a few hours to cross the channel but then can sit at the import port for another 7 days before taking 2-3 days to reach the dealer (although the reality of that is I would expect in most cases that takes at most a day). Then if you have a fast dealer they would have it for one more day before you can collect. Adding that all up comes to 21 days - so if your lucky it is 3 weeks on average.

Don't get me wrong; you could be lucky. Be on the boat fast and delivered from the port fast. But I think until they tell you it's been collected from
the UK port you can't guess when it will arrive as it could sit there for a week!

Obviously hope it doesn't - my Golf R took 3 weeks to reach me after build. It sat in port for 5 days both sides.

I'm still at the assembly stage. Once again they told me on chat the tracker is a stage ahead of what is actually happening.

So I guess I'll just have to keep checking everyday with chat unless the tracker updates

In light of the fact the tracker is one stage ahead of the actual process then unless online chat told you it was in the UK (hopefully they did) then you are still waiting for the boat in Germany.

And I chose my GAP for replacing the car using a comparison site. It wasn't ALA. it was another company. I did take alloy wheel insurance with ALA though.

How come status 30 is before 24? I assume that the tracker didn't update after 24 until it reached 39?

My car has now left the factory; status 30 overall now.

And conveniently the tracker and the customer service system both agree with each other now lol

I expect it will take about 3 weeks to arrive (although it could take longer) so I am hopeful for collection in the first week of July. We will see.

Just got status 70 this morning - seems they have pulled their fingers out at the ports (mine was Grimsby to Leeds) as it's taken mine 12 days from status 30 to 70

Result! It looks like you'll be one of the first people on here to get the new 1.5TSI. I'm waiting for the exact same car, S Line Sportback. What colour have you gone for? Nano Grey for me, my build is currently 31 or 7/8/17. Has your build date moved around much ?

Cosmos Blue for me, ACC, Tech Pack Advanced (VC) and a few other options. Ordered on 27 Feb, initially told 12-14 weeks, 1.e. early June, and well before planned move. Build date did move from late June to early May,and firmed up to 19 June, but quite pleased to get the new engine.

I've added tech pack advanced, ACC, Park assist, Audi sound, folding mirrors and hill hold asisst. I orderd 3rd week April. Audi Bolton confirmed build late May, delivery early July. When I was finally able to pick the order up on the tracker it was week 32. It came forward a week a few days ago. What happens if you move before the car reaches the dealer? Will they rearrange delivery to a dealer closer to your new home or will you have to trek back to the original dealer to collect the car.

It looks like dealers are somewhat optimistic when it comes to timescales. My dealer has said they will arrange collection for me at a dealer up north, though yet to find out the cost involved. At the moment, it's likely that the car will be here before I leave, but shipping and transport could bring a delay. If delayed, I can fly down and drive back - good way to get to know the car!

So it took a week to get from the factory to the port in Emden - and you got super lucky with a boat the next day.

The problem is its impossible to guess how long. In theory they could transport it to the dealer on Monday and you pick it up Wednesday. But it could also sit in the UK port for 14 days. I would expect that the most likely time scale is about a week in the port averaging it out. But you got over to the UK exceptionally fast.

I suppose that was pretty vague... when I got the 'Arrived ready at the dealer' on the tracker I rang them to arrange collection and they said it was actually at another dealer in the south and they needed to arrange transport to pick it up.
What threw me was that I thought it would have been coming to Grimsby and then straight across to Leeds as opposed to south

Mine's in QC too. Pretty much same timescale that others have experienced for the build process. The crucial timings will be transport and ferries where it can be anything from 1 week to 4 or more.

Your cars are not in quality control. The tracker is a stage ahead of the actual process until it leaves the factory.

However the fact is by Tuesday night your cars should be in QC and Wednesday will have left the factory.

My car left the factory last Wednesday (14th) and I'm patiently waiting for it to reach the port of emden. As was said above the part that is impossible to know for sure is after it leaves the factory.

A couple of posts earlier I was asking about this and it seems around 2 weeks from leaving factory to the dealer BUT it is subject to delays getting a boat at the port and getting a transport once in the UK. I'm hoping myself that my car is on a boat Tuesday or Wednesday this week but it could also sit at the port for 14 days according to Audi CS.

Wow. I would call Audi UK forget the dealer. They are not much help. The fact you have to wait for the guy to come back is typical bad service.

I hope that I am not in the same situation.

I just asked online chat for my VIN number and have now logged into myaudi to see what's there and check out the user manual.

This is the first part where we have no idea when it will be shipped. I'm hoping for a day or two may but can be up to 2 weeks.

Spinstorm, my order dates are similar to yours. You were one day ahead at status 30.

I also got told on online chat today that car is in Emden and released to shipping. So I am hoping that we'll move to staus 39 (0n ship) in next few days.

On other posts it has been said that you can also track the shipping status using the VIN here https://www.2wglobal.com so I keep trying that too.

VIN is also on the JSON page https://www.audi.co.uk/myaudi-public-api/services/v1/orders/ near the bottom, but only showed up for me at status 30, left the factory. Which makes sense.
