Hi :)

I'm looking at buying an Audi A4/A6 TDi model around 2002/2003 plate and would like your advice on what to look out for. Is the 1.9 ok or should I be looking at the 2.5? I want to go for a Sport model but is it worth getting a Quattro version as well? Also, are there any essential optional extras which I should be looking out for?
Here are a few I have been browsing for starters.
Cheers in advance,

Darren

1.9 if you want 50mpg, 2.5 if you're not fussed with 35mpg and better performance. Quattro will add a few less mile per gallon and are much rarer, really depends what driving you will be doing.
Just check the cam belt has been done every 60k miles. The 1.9 is pretty indestructable if looked after. I would always go for a newer higher mileage car than older lower mileage for the same money.
Options are very personal, but I would always insist on black half leather/alcantara (difficult to get on a diesel). Audi's just feel shabby to me without leather.
And cruise is a must if you do a lot of motorway driving.

That Silver A4 Avant with the 18 RS6s looks nice and tidy. If only I bought an Avant.......
