Whats the difference between a 2003-2012 and a 2004-2012 A3

As title, this crops up when buying parts on ebay etc, is there a difference ?? why is nt it it
just described as 2003-2012??

Never seen that before, are you talking about sellers or eBay? 2003-2012 is the correct one. I think 2004-2012 was created to stop people getting confused between 2003 Audi A3 8P and 2003 A3 8L. Should really be something like 03-05, 05-08, 09-10, 11-12
