Replace heater core S3

Hi all!

So it seems my heater core is leaking since I'm getting foggy windows in my S3. Now I want to replace my heater
core but I'm not sure how to remove the dashboard. Does anyone have some tips or a tutorial how to remove the dash?
Also I read that the aircon gas may need to be tapped? I have a pre-facelift S3 (2000).

Can I ask how you know it is the heater core? and not water ingress from another location (door seals/incorrectly located scuttle trim for example).

Are you losing any coolant? Footwell carpets wet?

Hi Lewis, Well actually I'm not really 100% sure. A mapper where I took the car in november told me the heater core was leaking, not that bad yet that coolant is dripping on the carpet. I thought I smelled some coolant when the engine is heating up but I have to recheck since I havent driven the car in more than two months. I will recheck tomorrow to be really really sure and let you know
