What have you done to your 8V today?

That's exactly what i'm about to do! Is that an easy enough install? i've got the revo carbon intake and think it's a case of removing the inlet to access the turbo?

Enigma, my Local garage recommended reomving the battery for better access, thoughts?

No need to remove the battery but unclip the little black box that clips to the side of it, remove the air inlet pipe from air box to turbo inlet and the air box itself. Then it gets a bit tricky, undo your forward turbo outlet hose fixing to engine and see if you have the wiggle room to get to the TMD. I have the CTS Turbo outlet hose as you can see below so I just removed the rear half of it and had plenty of room. If you need to fully remove the OEM pipe then it's under tray off to get at the lower fixing :-

Waterless wash today...................................I know, the shame of it!! lol In my defense have had more important things on my mind this week.

Anyway, I failed miserably to convince me ol mucker @jassyo06 of the merits of this kit so maybe I'll convince one or two of you??!! This stuff is awesome. The car took 30mins front to back. I wouldn't ever use it on a really dirty car (not that mine ever is tbh) but for in between maintenance it's the ******, and probably the best glass cleaner I've ever used (had to buy the missus one to use on the windows indoors she was so impressed with it!!) lol

Apologies for the 'sparkly' shot, got the wrong bit in focus but you get the idea!! ;)

Might be worth picking up some silicon grease for the foam washer that comes with the TMD - it points downwards in the compressor housing so a bit of grease helps keep it in place whilst you offer up the TMD. Similar story with the O ring that sits against the TMD flange it can fall out of the groove in the turbo body.

Had the Revo Intercooler fitted, couple of pics of the Revo one next to the original one - Revo has cast end tanks that are much larger, it's taller and also the core is around 1/2 an inch thicker :-

LoL I struggle as well mate but I think in a nutshell it's that cooler dense air = more power. The ECU will throttle back power dependant on intake temps so that's why it's recommended for stage 2.

Some Testing Done on this intercooler

• IAT vs. Stock 7R (last of 5 sequential runs): 27C cooler (40C vs. 67C)
• Max HP/TQ retained in testing vs. Stock 7R (last of 5 sequential runs): 23hp/19 ft. lbs

Got a New Car Protection Package. Consisting of Kochchemie 1K Nano protection, AD High Temp Wheel Sealant and a Hydrophobic Glass Sealant.

Had this done back when I collected it in September but only just had chance to upload the pictures, as I have been working away. The guy did a very good job, and it looks even better in person. It beads like crazy . No windscreen wipers required lol..

What have I done today? Sworn a lot.
Decided to do my roof rail retro fit. Dropped the headlining - a good few hours and swearing.
Drilled the holes for the rails - easy - 45 minutes tops. No swearing.
Decided to have the rails painetd black gloss, so it will be a week or so before I fit them I guess. Then decided that Audi did not go far enough with their RS black pack and decided the shark fin needed painting black so easily removed it, then decided the door handles should be black. Two hours later, still trying to figure how to get the b*****s off. Much swearing and given up now.
Hang around, I may be selling an RS3 cheaply!!

Used Showroom Shine for years. Although of late I've moved onto Williams Waterless Wash. SRS is better but more expensive. Leaves a great glass like feel to your paintwork. I've used it on a minging car before and it works very well. I use a damp MF instead of a dry one if it's really dirty. Lifts the c4ap of easier. Look out for the deals online with the SRS. You can get 3 bottles for £26 from time to time.

Yes did it all the way in efficiency as I do the journey a lot and wanted to see if the drive select actually makes a difference and it does somehow...feels less responsive though unless I kick down past normal throttle position if you get what I mean...

Am I the only one that likes to keep the engine in dynamic mode...
After having owned a 6 cylinder car with severe drinking problems for many years, feel like these Audi 4 cyls are fuel savers... :)
