Hi everyone, hope your all well.
Well it's official, the modding bug has definitely grabbed me by the balls.
I bought a 2.0T fsi engine for a very small price of £200. The teeth had been ripped clean off the cambelt, but fortunately most of the damage was done on idle. So minus 4 valve in prints in each piston and 16 bent valves. The block (which was my main reason for purchase) is in very good condition.
The head has very minor damage but that's not the end of the world as it has the revision B inlet cam which is awesome. So other than a few spare parts just incase, the rest of the parts head wise are a goner, but for £200 who can complain?
Here's some pics as I got straight to work yesterday to see just where I had thrown £200...
So the end result is bent valves and damaged pistons....
Sorted, let's just clean it up, remove the pistons and get it ready for a rebuild!
Looks like a hot spot on each of the bores, but other than that, no shiny bores and no scoring, so looks like we're good to start honing.

Other than the damaged pistons, the rods and shells look in good shape, so if I bend a rod in the meantime I guess I've got some spares lol!
So that's where I'm at, I will add everything as I progress, with details on my plans. Although this going to be a build for next season, I still iam to ensure that this build exceeds all expectations.... I'm not gonna get into figures just yet, but it's gonna be the a weapon! please stay tuned.
