Do the speakers rise out the dash like other models?
No. They don't in the A4/5 either. I believe it's A6 and above (costs £6300 in the A6). I believe the difference may be that the a3/4/5 systems use basic B&O speaker drivers but generic amplification, whereas the high end systems use B&O icepower amplification and high end tweeters from their reference series loudspeakers

And remember that the B&O is very sensitive to the quality of the recorded media.
Hmmm.
The reason I asked about the coding is that sometimes a low bitrate coding can produce excessive sibilance on vocals. Just double check that it is coding the tracks to say 256 or 320 kbps CBR. Apart from that, try a old school (Commercial, not home made) CD in the slot to see if has the same problem with the ssssssss's
@steverobertsbbc is the expert on this
I haven't got B&O but I wish I specced it. I went with *** and it sounds great with pop/club songs but rubbish with Rock songs, it sounds too flat.
My settings I have kept so far is
sub +3
bass +2
treble +6
That is for ***, but it might give good results with B&O, thought i'd share. I see a lot of you with treble down low, and whenever I try it I feel like the song isn't really clear, but that might be the ***..
