What Oil do you recommend?

I have a quick question, I need to top up my engine oil, what oil should I use?

I have a 2007 2.0 Tdi.

Should I use semi/fully synthetic?

Should I use 10w40, 5w30 etc?

I'm not too sure about diesel but I would hazard a guess 5w30 fully synthetic in the UK.

Yep. But stick with the quality brands as these 2.0 TDIs don't like to be mucked about

I would recommend Moto-oil as I bought some Shell Helix ultra AV-L 5w 30 off them. Audi wanted £18 a litre got it for £6.50 a litre.

Fast delivery as well.

Doesn't matter, so long as it's to the right specification.

get quantum its often worked out the best quality cheap oil and its vw's own brand so you know its right , if i remember correctly its castrol rebranded ? or i have use uniparts own 5-30 which is fuchs rebranded and it seemed fine both conformed to vw specs but its always best to give your reg and use the oil they list
