Hi guys, i'm Freek from Belgium.
Been lurking for time now and now i can finaly present my S3.
Not many S3's around in Belgium so i had to be patient, i wanted a facelift lowmileage dolphin grey...
didn't find it so bought this modelyear 2000 black one with 147000km's (91000miles)
View attachment 25873

the good bits;
-at 125000km's it had cambelt, waterpump, head-and turbo-rebuild
-at 137000 km's, oils and filters, new lambda, new MAF,new bushes...
-it has KW variante 2
-big FMIC
-Cat-back exhaust
-80 mm TIP
-cone filter with heat-shield and CAI
-wheelspacer front and back
-chipped , owner states 260pk and 390Nm ( no graph)

the bad bits;
-car has been plastidipped in orange, stil some traces of it
- Original DV is faulty, fluttering sound when releasing pedal at low revs
-the TIP is hitting the master brake lines
i've already found it's a problem on the LHD cars, should i leave it this way or is it retricting air-flow?

plan's:
remove plastidip from mirrors and wheels ( done)
fit forge 007p ( ordererd)
get a downpipe
N249 delete
liquid gauge
health check on RR
....
get used to power and then wanting more.

i'll get some decent pics when it stop raining and it's washed.

Hi Freek, that's some great lurking skills there mate- 5 posts in 3 and a half years!

So are you planning to track her at all?

I only ask because I spy a bucket seat in replace of the leather Recaro driving seat :)

LOL,
i almost bought one in 2009, but then our doughter was born.
Bucketseat is allready out, was too small for me.

finnaly, it stopped raining for 10 minutes.
So took some pictures of the changes i made, removed the plastidip from mirrors and wheels.
I gave the wheels a quick refurb, lowered it some more( needs a little more up front)
put the spacers on, 20mm front, 25mm back, sits perfect now.
also changed the broken DV with a forge 007, what a difference!

less talk, more pics!

I got a few bits done on the car; the forge DV is fitted, oil and filter changed, oilpickup pipe changed.
New sparkplugs ordered NGK BKR07E.
And now planning my next moves, buying the liquid gauge first or a relentless DP?

my Liquid gauge arrived this week and this is how i installed it.

pulled the vent out and removed the cooling fins.
20140212 143248
then routed the wire through the duct.

i removed my obd port from the dash and connected it the the provided cable. That way i can reach it when we have to scan the car.
