Exhaust blown S3

Just a quick question here after some sluggish quarter mile times here, and i think i may know the answer here but would like professional comments here.

On my exhaust system, OEM system till after cat then milltek, i have a blowout/hole around my flexi pipe. but what i am wondering is if it is causing me some loss of power? not a major loss but still noticeable? i am vaguely aware that exhaust pressure can play a part in the runnings of the engine via air/gas flow? but not sure and i am not a mechanic ha!

On an NA car yes but far less so (if at all) on a turbocharged one.

hmmmm righto, taking it for a wee looking at anyhow by a tuner on friday. ive noticed a bit of oily residue around the DV valve so i dont know if somethings leaking onto that, not long been like that however as its not got much build up?

Yep turned out to be dv vaulve totally deteriorated. Got one from awesome gti delivered in few days for 50 quid all in. Best bit of money spent. Car feels like a new machine was told that blown exhaust right enough dont cost much power on a turbocharged car right enough !
