Hi all, I have a 98 tdi se. I am trying to reinstall my standard head unit. I messed it up at the beginning after putting an aftermarket one in. What I did was burn the red wire out from the black ISO connector, and touch it on the standard unit and it sparked. I had to then us a live from the battery to alloy my aftermarket stereo to work. I have managed today to sort that out and am now managing to run my aftermarket unit off the standard wiring. However the blue connector has some wires burnt out, my question is will this affect the standard unit from working? And if not, why isn't it? No lights on the unit, nothing!! I have checked the fuse in the rear and it is fine along with the one on the side of the dash, please help!!

when it sparked you prob burnt something out in the radio
