Having mourned the day of selling my old B5 2.8 Quattro Avant, I did the logical thing and bought another! Same year, colour, model, everything! The new one hadn't even half the mods of the old one, other than S4 bumpers, sill kick plates and I think front grill? It's standard, rear electric windows, front centre arm rest and genuine dog guard are the only OEM extras over my old one.

My plans are to clean the life out of it, hopefully with the aid of my machine polisher I can get it all the same shade of red! I've a set of 17" Ronals to go on, hopefully tomorrow and then I'd really like to change the seats to black and ideally Recaros. Then I'm going to start working my way through the car, starting with the brakes, suspension - cleaning, painting and replacing as necessary.

Here she is...

from the rear...

New wheels, freshly painted in Porsche anthracite grey waiting for new tyres...

Looks a nice car, look forward to reading your progress with it. x

Cheers, not bad for a cheap old banger!! Will try and keep this updated as I go

New wheels, freshly painted in Porsche anthracite grey and brand new tyres all round - matching spare to!

Thanks bud and headlights - gimme a clue?

Next step is the inside I think, pull the tints off and hopefully get some new seats

FL = Facelift

these are OEM xenons but the same as halogen facelifts only better lol -

You need to trim a little bit of metal off your wings and wire in the FL plugs.
Loads of info about it and its a really easy job to do.

Mid way through conversion.

First you look.

Pull a funny face and hack

Give up with hacking and the funny face. Put on some cool shades and get the grinder out.

Then make some cool sparks to make it cooler.

Done.

Headlights look good, but don't fancy taking the grinder to the wings to be honest!

I almost like the retroness look that the original ones have, those one piece ones almost look to modern for the rest of the car if that makes sense?

I'm now thinking a subtle light tint to the original lights and some better bulbs - the originals are woeful

Good call, but just rang him and they're sold already...will keep an eye out for anther set

Sadly this is going up for sale shortly, along with a R54 cherished plate and some RS4 Recaro front seats if anyone's interested?

It's vehicle number 4 at the house and simply doesn't get used enough to have it sitting...is now in the classifieds, along with some B5 parts up for sale to
