I know I'm a noob, but what do those adapters do?

pcd change and space the wheel further out for the perfect stance.

so the s3 pcd is 5/100 and he has rims that are 5/112 so that make it fit on his car without having to drill new holes in the rims or his hub and disk

Received everything back Friday, and left work early to get the car assembled for the Mass Parkoff event the evening.

I am really happy with the outcome and work done by Fransua

MasperP Came through and worked his magic on my car, Tiaans Scooby and Daniel's Ibiza.

Paid a visit to TMS yesterday to look at options for new tailpieces.

They should be done by the engineers monday, car is going in wednesday.

2 x 76mm's slashcut

Popped in yesterday to get my new tailpiece fitted, its a piece of art, Nishen really did a fantastic job.

So just another pic of the exhaust tailpiece.

Did some maintenance on the S3 yesterday, Replaced top shock mounts and bearings.
Also replaced both front ABS sensors.

While the coilovers were removed I stripped them down and gave them a good wash and a coat of wax.

And just two pics because

So after some bantering and head scratching we decided to go hybrid.
ST billet wheel and bigger exhaust wheel with 7degree cut back with machining of the housing and porting of the housing and manifold.
Stock s3 wheel vs ST billet

Started to assemble the engine yesterday.
Engineers ****** up the clearance on the one journal, so they need to fix it Wednesday.
They also broke off one tooth on the oil pump drive gear :bang:

Big thanks to my father in law for all the help.

So we received the crank back from engineers and started right away.

Still waiting on one important part before I can finish the build. Will only have it Monday :bang:
On a plus side I received my hybrid ko4 yesterday :hurray:

So happy I can poop my pants. Ordered the part yesterday from vw, they sent it from PE and it arrived this morning

Paul came through yesterday and we did some wrenching.
All the small things took quite some time and the gearbox was a bitch to mount but we got it done.
Motor will go in after Christmas.

Car looks real nice!

Any reason you chose to stick with a stock manifold?
That looks like the weakest link in you nice assortment of shiney new parts

So Sunday in the rain paul and I braved the wetness and fitted the motor, thanks for the help bud.

Yesterday I assembled some more odds and ends, almost there.

Progress was made yesterday.
Started her up and is running like a dream.

On the test drive she hit over to 140 000km

And also busy with some a pillar pods.

What level of tints you got? Looks good

Sadly he sold this car since and it was bought by his friend Gizmo who in turn sold it again and it has now ended up at the Oettinger agents here in South Africa who are planning to strip it and use all the fancy bits in a Polo which they want to convert into a Quattro. What a bunch of ******. Clearly these guys have too much money, to take such a fine example of a S3 and destroy it. Lot of ****** off 8L followers here in South Africa who won't set foot in that agents place.

That is damn sad!
Seriously sad as that is by far one of the best I've seen - built with passion!

Don't know if he still visits this forum anymore. He now drives a BMW335, so I guess he has moved on to greener pastures....

Hi Everyone,

I only remembered about this Rides thread now.

Sadly the S3 was sold on to a tuner as stated by JOSE, all parts were transferred to a 9N polo including rear diff and propshaft, suspension, motor, brakes etc.

I have moved on to greener pastures, for some would not think so lol.

Meet Monica, my 2006 335i 400hp weekender.
