Hi, I had 2 new Kumho tyres fitted on the front the other day along with a MOT. The car passed fine with no issues and the new tyres were fitted which were ordered from Blackcircles.
As soon as I left the garage I had a constant whine coming from I thought, the front nearside wheel. As soon as I got on a stretch of road and picked up speed the whining noise got louder and faster with the speed of the engine. The noise continues even around corners and whilst travelling in neutral, so probably not bearings or gearbox. Haldex is recently serviced with oil and filter as well.
Thought had to be tyres, so I turned around and went back to the garage. Guy checked them over and the nearside one was on backwards!! So had that put right and assumed the noise would go. Nope!
Spoke to Blackcircles and they say there's nothing they can do once tyres are on the car. They told me that its probably just road noise and may fade when the tyres are worn. Useless idiots.
Could the garage have damaged something whilst it was having the MOT? Wish I'd kept my old tyres now, as they wern't that bad
Any ideas guys?
Allan
