my engine is running very hot and the rad stays cold the top hose is very hot and the bottom hose is not very warm i changed the thermastate but still the same i can hear a slight ticking nose by the turbo ?

how hot is hot? and how long have you been driving it like that?

Sounds like either an air lock in the system, or a failled water pump

it started on wed it got 120 nearly the car was beabing at me i had to keep stopping to let it cool down

It sounds like the same symptoms as when my waterpump went, the plastic impeller breaks down. Suggest replacing waterpump with a metal impeller. Overheating damages the thermostat so you may need to replace that again at the same time.

are you getting a return flow to the coolant bottle ?

if not your pump has broken up

happened to mine last week. cost £130 (trade price for genuine parts for cam belt kit and water pump)

the plastic impeller broke right off the shaft

not getting return ive orderd a pump and cambelt £66 not 2 bad really doining it sunday i will let u all no how it al goes thanks 4 all your help

Its recommended to change the tensioner, tensioner pulley an idler also.

i only done it at the most 10000miles ago the whole kit so should be fine
