After fitting the twintake the cover does not fit so I've decided to get the dremel out now I've washed it

Wish me luck. Pics to follow

Make sure you check before you cut, and always under-cut then file the edge down (rather than ending up cutting off too much).

Good luck.

Right here goes. I do most of my cutting by hand and eye.

The dremel with the tile cutting bit is best.

Separate the airbox and start on the bottom bit first making sure you retain the holes for the clips

Then once happy start on the top bit

And voila all done

Looks good mate nice job you've done there

looks good pal. Just needs trimming a little where the intake pipe comes down on the passenger side to follow the shape of the pipe for the ultimate oem finish.

Very nice, although it could do with a bit of blue carpet glued on there.

Top modding Blackie, looks amazing! Don't write off the thought of the 'blue carpet' finish until you've seen it, ..maybe you could use an offcut of 70's orange/back swirly shag pile on yours (it's a bit of a running forum joke, lol). xx

KIDDING!

I forgot to add one last pic of what was removed from the cover.

Also note the air filter which was allegedly changed on a service prior to my collection . Guildford Audi obviously doin a sterling job NOT ....
