bonnet wont open on my a3

I have a a3 facelift model on a 2004 plate and the bonnet will not open tried thumping the bonnet while pulling the cable tried prising gently any easy way to get the catch to release please thanks dan

Facelift 2004? This is a stupid question but, have you opened the bonnet before? When you pull the inside lever, is the the hood poping up? Also is the second latch moving freely?

yes it is facelift 2004 and i managed to reach my arm up inside the engine bay tight fit and wedge the cable back in the latch whilst someone popped it up and cable tied the latch up to the cable so it wont pop out again, only way to do it cant be done from the front if anyone else gets stuck

My bonnet has done the same .Fast going off Audis
poxy plastic pull handles and cheap tat has fell apart
Stuck in Manchester !!! grrrrr
