Alright Lads,

So I picked up an exhaust from a 2.0T b7 and it has the standard exhaust tips on it... and I was thinking before I fit it that I would get some nice possibly bigger chrome/ss tips for it...

I know a few of you have gone to your nearest powerflow dealer... and got tips put on there... but unfortunately living in the middle of no where there isnt a dealer near me... nearest is a 2.5hr drive...

So would anyone be able to recommend me a good site to but some 90-100mm tips that will ship them to me...

Thanks,
Martin

Have you spoken to Powerflow to ask if they'll send you some?

I have the 100mm Powerflow tips and the dealer had to fabricate step-up tubing between the OEM exhaust and the new tips. They did a great job so just be aware that more is involved than just having the tips sent to you.
It may be worth that 2.5 hour drive?

Colin that looks fantastic... kind of thing I am going for... Would a mechanic have been able to do the job?? what I was thinking was that I would get the tips and then give them to my mechanic and let him at it...

@James... can you buy direct from the powerflow website??

edit : also does anyone have the part no's for the extra heat shield and hanger required to fit the twin exhaust to a single exit exhaust car?? I tried searching and looking through the part no's sticky but couldnt find them...

I don't know, there doesn't seem any official ability to do so, but maybe a ring to the Head Office or your 'closest' branch might help. At least when you've taken possession of them you can get them fitted by someone local.

yeah I have tried emailing and calling most of the dealers that are listed on the site that are within driving distance from me... none of them answering their phones though or answering emails... seriously frustrating...

do ya know of any other good brands that would be a good alternative and possible to buy online??

The dealer I went to had pipe stretching equipment to make the correct step-up adaptors in two stages and then Mig welded it altogether. Would imagine this is a specialist process if you want it done properly.

Where are you based again?

Yeh I think you will... they want to be welded rather than bolted on.

Just go to a powerflow dealer and they will sort you out for about £100 fitted

Thanks for the link man... was looking through their website... dont really see an online store section... can you buy direct from them online??

@itsmeagain and @James... alright alright... ill get onto powerflow today :whistle2: :whistle2: see what they quote me..
I have a 1.8t sport that had rusty exhaust tips, so I drove into a powerflow dealer. I picked the size of tips i was after 100mm round, then they cut off my old ones and fitted the nice new ones. What a difference they made, now they actually fill the cut outs properly
