Days are getting darker: Headlight Bulb upgrade Choice

I've searched through a few threads already on here about upgrading bulbs for my 8L A3.
Most seem to choose between the Phillips and osram nightbreakers.

im after a set of headlight bulbs that are going to produce the whitest output. I can give a little if it shows a slight tinge of blue etc but as I drive to and from work on windy B roads with no lights need to be able to see the distance etc.
If you could order In choice of what u think here by 1. 2. 3. Of which is the best for my needs but also price wise too.

I'm also not interested in HIDs due to money and being an older car etc.

Thinking the same too mate,
I had Lucus Rally Blue 100W in my Focus but they kept burning out the connector blocks
HID are ££ but there must be a bulb out there that's an upgrade surely.
