    Buying potential B6 1.8 t S Line Avant ( or hold for B7 2.0t?)

From its sounds a good buy with the service history but has it had long life services from Audi? 1.As you seem to already know the 1.8t may suffer from the oil pipe pickup get blocked and long life services don't help but it's no guarantee. Mine was serviced by Audi up until 160k and run ok...

My 2001 S4"s alarm keeps going off randomly in the sunlight only

It could be the batteries in the alarm siren in the boot have final gone which is common. The siren has some non-replaceable rechargeable batteries in it that with time leak and corrode the Circuit board inside making it play up. If that's the case then you will have to replace it but if...

Are you not going for the miltek cat one? I would say if the ones you are looking at will fit onto a standard exhaust then it should fit your miltek exhaust.

    Oem alarm issues...

This is what I thought he was on about. Right in front of the battery. I would be interested I see the other brace he has fitted.

    Oem alarm issues...

All A4's have a strut brace type metal plate that runs in front of the battery and no you don't have to remove it to get the battery out. You will need a long Allen key to remove the clamp that's(looking at the battery from the front of the car) in the front of the battery, if you look down you...

Most recurring problem on your 1.8T?

Mine at the moment is showing a airbag fault on the drivers seat again. Will reset it again until I get time to fix the loom.

Most recurring problem on your 1.8T?

Yeah as soon as you see a oil warning light pop up you think the worst, then you see the word sensor under it and you breath easy again.lol

Most recurring problem on your 1.8T?

Standard boost, not sure if it's more on the bex engine than any of the others. 3 have split bodies and one was split diaphragm. Also had to replace oil sensor in the sump 3 times.

Most recurring problem on your 1.8T?

Interesting, will have to check mine. I've had to replace the DV 4 times on mine(all genuine ones) so far this last one seems to have lasted more that a year.lol

A few little niggles on my S4

It could be the lock motor on that door as packed up or a broken wire. I would check the wires that run from the door to the body.
