A friend has given me some brake calipers he got for his B6 but never fitted but he’s now sold the car. So I’ve now got B8 S4 front calipers and S4 B6 rear Calipers to go on mine and my question is do I fit b6/b7 S4 front discs and once I’ve fitted them all do I have to change any coding as they...
So after 12yrs of owning my 1.8t quattro Avant I’ve decided to move on and bought myself a hi spec’ed A6 c7 3.0 v6 TDI quattro Avant. Still got the b6 but haven’t decided what I’m going to do with it yet. Anyway here’s a pic of the old girl and one of the new A6.
So what options are there for bigger brakes on the b6? I know b6 and 7 s4 Brakes are a straight swap but what other models are a straight swap? Need to fit with 19inch alloys.
From its sounds a good buy with the service history but has it had long life services from Audi?
1.As you seem to already know the 1.8t may suffer from the oil pipe pickup get blocked and long life services don't help but it's no guarantee. Mine was serviced by Audi up until 160k and run ok...
Nice avant and welcome.
1. There was some company in German selling chrome window switch sets on eBay but not sure if they are still selling them, from memory they were £190 a set. Have seen any others.
2. Yes we have a member on here that sells led packs. t8ups from EM tuning in the sponsor...
No they shouldn't need coding. Here's a guide on fitting them but pictures are missing.

I thought b6 and b7's were the same but I'm guessing they change when it went to b7.
It could be the batteries in the alarm siren in the boot have final gone which is common. The siren has some non-replaceable rechargeable batteries in it that with time leak and corrode the Circuit board inside making it play up. If that's the case then you will have to replace it but if...
Are you not going for the miltek cat one? I would say if the ones you are looking at will fit onto a standard exhaust then it should fit your miltek exhaust.
All A4's have a strut brace type metal plate that runs in front of the battery and no you don't have to remove it to get the battery out.
You will need a long Allen key to remove the clamp that's(looking at the battery from the front of the car) in the front of the battery, if you look down you...
Standard boost, not sure if it's more on the bex engine than any of the others. 3 have split bodies and one was split diaphragm. Also had to replace oil sensor in the sump 3 times.
Interesting, will have to check mine. I've had to replace the DV 4 times on mine(all genuine ones) so far this last one seems to have lasted more that a year.lol
