They are going to take photographs apparently to see if it is able to be covered under warranty. I can't see how they can argue it's wear and tear, i've only done 37k miles so it's not high mileage. This is the sort of reason I paid to extend my warranty!
That's good news, but as I posted in another thread i'm told the propshaft damper bush is split and needs doing and they're not sure (why they're no sure I don't know) if it's covered under warranty or not. Plus I need rear brake pads and discs so that's almost £500.
Hi all, got a vehicle health check done whilst in for my transmission oil change. I was told that the propshaft damper bush is split and needs rectifying and they're not sure yet if this will be done under warranty. Should this be covered by warranty or do I have to accept it's excluded and is...
Just got back from transmission oil change. Turns out the coolant leak is from the thermostat housing which is to be replaced under warranty. Just waiting for the part to be ordered.
Hi guys - i've ordered a Garmin Dash Cam 55 and was wondering about fitment. It looks like it can be fitted pretty much anywhere in the windscreen, but i wondered if any of you had one fitted, where you located it and if it's pretty easy to tuck the cabling for the power underneath the trim?
Hi guys. Back from my 3 week hols - coolant level looks fine since i topped it up just before I went away, but of course it's mostly been standing still so if there is any leak it must be happening when it's running. I shall call Audi tomorrow and ask if they can have a look on Saturday when it...
Thanks for the replies guys, I feel a bit better now. Lots of stress at the moment and this is not a good time to add to it! I've reserved some pre-mix top up to pick up in the morning so i'll check before i leave, top it up then monitor it and maybe get Audi to check it when i have my...
Would you recommend I pick up some pre-mix top up on the way into work tomorrow morning, then i can top it up at lunchtime when the car has cooled down.
Then can monitor the level and ask Audi to check the system when it's in for it's transmission oil change after I get back from holiday? I got...
I'm under warranty but I guess my fear is it's been caused by a radiator hole or something. My last A3 got a hole in the condenser for the a/c so even under warranty it was of course not covered and cost me a fortune!!
Hi, may be a basic issue this but i'm in a rush and have never had this issue before. Just about to get home and the "Switch off engine and check coolant level" warning in my S3 came on. I've checked and it seems to be almost 1cm below the minimum level. I'm only in work tomorrow now (meetings...
Missed this thread for a bit, been very busy... i'm used to dealers hassling me to change before the natural conclusion of my PCP so i'm not so much as looking to terminate early, we'd always agreed the timing i'd talk to them. The difference is that I was told by now the vehicle would be in...
Further to the above, this is my second Audi with a BMW in-between. At the time BMW offered a lower p/x on my first Audi than Audi did but in an attempt to do a deal rang around to pre-sell my part-ex to get a better value. Great service.
Yes, I was led to believe that when I entered the last 12 months of the deal i'd be in equity. Rough figures:
O/S finance currently ~£22.5k
Parkers p/ex estimate for a base model, no extras roughly £19.5k
Audi p/ex offer ~£18k
Mercedes p/ex offer ~£17k (but estimated for in April when the O/S...
Non-Audi dealers I expected to offer me a lower part-ex but it was the fact that Audi themselves are not keen to offer me a part-ex equal to or higher then the outstanding finance at this stage (i'm less than 12 months away from the end of a 4 year PCP) that surprised me as I thought they'd be...
Hi, has anyone much experience of handing a car back at the end of their term? How "picky" are the dealerships? Normal wear and tear and mileage in line with the agreement are assumed, but for example do they look to bill you for every stone chip and minor scratch (which I would see as wear and...
Good thing is I have a car I have owned and looked after since new. No reservations about paying off the PCP deal and keeping it for longer than 4 years if need be. Although Audi have said they're keen to keep me I know from experience other manufacturers will be even more keen to take me from Audi!
I think WBAC value mine at about £20k which is normally rock bottom, but for Audi to offer me around £18k is actually an insult, especially when they can expect to receive about £22k plus for it on their forecourt. Just makes me start to look at other manufacturers again.
