Well guys after 6 years, 55k miles with over 3bar boost the turbine has left the party.
It looks like fatigue but I've mailed some pictures over to EFR to get their thoughts.
Around November time I ran a 100 to 200 dragy but the injectors were still cutting out so couldn't get a clean run:
Had the car on a weigh bridge and its just under 2000kg so overall for a full fat car the 100 to 200 time was acceptable and without the injectors cutting could have gone abit quicker.
I think the injector voltage needed some love to stop them cutting, as to get 600hp worth of fuel the injectors had to work overtime.
Turbo shaft:
Compressor wheel still looks mint as well as the ball bearings
What to do next:
Well I live very close to the ulez zone and its a bit of a pain dancing around it all. So I've decided its time to move on to another project (not really sure what to do next yet but the Audi S2 is keeping me plenty busy).
As for the car I will detune it and run one of my hybrid turbos on it with the larger injectors etc Its not for sale just yet but will be in the near future.
Turbo - I do have another s300/efr that I could use but pumping another few k into this project doesn't make sense anymore.
Performance summary:
3.0TDI low comp engine (120% inj, R110 pump etc)
603hp / 1100nm
0 to 60 - 3.4's
100 to 200 - 7.9's (corrected) - with issues
Weight - 1940 kg
3.3 bar boost ( 140k shaft speed, 900deg egt)
Cheers
Bobby
