What have you done to your A3 (8p) this week

Today I have replaced the original aerial for a DAB aerial, removed the DV+ and binned it (see my Oil consumption post for more info) and hacked away at the spare wheel surrounds in order to put some items under the boot floor without it sitting uneven or creating bumps and bangs.

Done test run with 8p mirror for puddle light. Hardest part was figuring out how to run wire but sussed it.

Next job fitting reckon full day to do will post pics when done.

Was that straight after a cambelt change? Wonder how you reset this value? Hmmm

The cam belt only drives the camshafts, the timing chain is on the other side of the engine next to the gearbox and is separate to the cam belt, so that where is with 80k on the car

Just fitted one oft he cheapo ebay rear wiper arms. Nice little mod for £4! my rear washer wasn't working either but followed the advice and cleaned the nozzle with a pin whilst I had it out, also gave it a little soak in some hot soapy water which brought a load of crap out and now it's working again. Dead easy mod really and cost less than a replacment OEM wiper blade

Looking forward to seeing that one!

I've been meaning to post for a while... can't remember when I started this stuff but done a few little bits over the summer.

First I finally got around to debadging and putting pressed plates on:

IMG 2941

Fitted full puddle lights, warning lights and front footwells thanks to @RobinA3... not thanks to the cat that kept knocking the door card over.

IMG 2990
IMG 3059

Then upgraded straight to LED's to match the rest of the interior thanks to @t8ups

IMG 3119

Finally finished off the non smokers pack with the flip top lid and 12v usb that sits flush under it.

IMG 2871

Cleaned up the interior, and got a few good pics on a trip to the lakes.

Next job is getting a headunit!

i set the tyres to those pressures recently, so yeah its accurate. temperature im not sure about tbh, unless the temp inside the tyre is warmer than outside temp even if the cars been standing.
Hi mate got my tpms installed with badly written instructions. It worked for a short while then it stopped working came up fail so I reinstalled went to set it for each tyre pressure it came up different and now won't work. Is there a way to reset the unit ?

Which apk did you use? I used the one with the alarm mentioned in the title and it's been working stable since I fitted them

Not sure what you mean. It's working now., buy somethings not on your screen?

There's a blue symbol that brings up tyre pressures and temp. Then there's a orange symbol that brings up the screen in the pic above

Im not using that apk, so mine is different. on the USB stick they sent there should be an apk with alarm in the title. Use that one

Why would you install all of them lol.
The instructions they gave weren't clear at all but basically you only need to install one of the files on that USB stick, and I can vouch for the one that says alarm.

Uninstall any of the tpms apps on your unit, unplug the receiver, install the one that says alarm and try again

Edit- reread your post and I understand now. If you installed more than one tpms app, only one can access the receiver at a time and show pressures etc.by having more than one app, you've got redundant apps installed that's why one works and the other won't. Uninstall them, install only one and problem sorted

Is there a guide you used for this? Really interested in doing it to mine, always annoyed me that there were no puddle lights.

Mind cut them smaller than the puddle light so when you push them in to new cut out there tight .

Yes full guide here : https://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/my-diy-guide-for-retro-fitting-puddle-lights.58244/

Hardest part is cutting the plastic holes in the door card for the light to sit.

Contact @RobinA3 if you want the lights, he makes the full looms ready to plug and play. They look fully OEM, highly recommend.

Cheers for that. @RobinA3 are you able to PM me the kit price for a 2012 Sportback? I'm assuming the fitting is relatively idiot proof? I just need to find someone local that's able to code them in for me
