Correct me if I'm wrong but i think it is a right pita to remove the rear spoiler

I hope somebody does correct you

On closer inspection it looks less like a spoiler. Would an aftermarket one go alongside this or instead of?

I'm sure the original ones are either bolted and bonded or just bonded with something like tigerseal or something similar, it will come off but not easy.

Must be bolted ..... Can't believe they'd leave it just down to some bonding ..... After all people can potentially put a lot of weight on these things

Are we talking about the same thing ? :scared2: A lot of weight on what ? I know that on the a3 Slines they are bolted and sealed, so must be the same for all. But most aftermarket ones are only bonded on, it puts up a tough fight ! It's on there a goodun' once they have been bonded on

Amazon screwed up the delivery so still no vinyl :(

If anybody has a B8 on 18" alloys can you measure the heigh from floor to the centre of wheel arch on body please? My car feels low alongside others and it only has a standard suspension (I think). Worried dropping it a further 40mm on the Eibach Sportline's will be too low!

It will be the same drop either way I would of thought? I had s line suspension and have fitted sportlines and the drop is perfect and I have 19" wheels so I wouldn't worry too much

Just worried that the car will be too low!! It already sits low for a family car.

Well that all depends on what "too low" is? I don't get any rubbing and can get over speed bumps. Doesn't look boy racer-ish at all. Take a look at my thread to get an idea of the drop if you like.

thanks @James.B8 .....The drop looks great.

I think it's the general height of the car off the tarmac that worries me, not so much the gap between arch and tyre. Hence why I wanted a reference from another car of tarmac > arch/fender height.

Getting old now and want to save my back :p

ALthough the kids will get in no sweat!!

thanks again!

Thanks! Yeah no problem. Another solution to that would be get bigger wheels? Still have the look of the drop and smaller arch gap but with the underside of the car being higher?

On my s-line Avant the Floor to Centre of the wheel arch was 68cm before I lowered it on coilovers. The garage set it to 63cm which was to low so I raised it to 64cm.

thanks mate - will wait till Mrs brings the car back from Girls night and measure mine for comparison!

Hopefully picking the car back up from the garage after a fitting of the Eibach springs - tonight or tomorrow.....looking forward to seeing how it sits :)

And here we have it ..... a nicer look but feels weird driving round looking up to drivers in Fiesta's and such like!

Not driven it much but car feels tighter, with more feedback for turning etc

Got some gloss black s-line badges - not sure where to put them. Do I put them on the wings? In which case, what's their positioning on a B8 (accurately) ..... anybody have any ideas?

Just plotted those measurements on my front wing and they don't appear to be right (in relation to what you can see on the pic) - is that definitely from a B8 4?

The panel on the right in your picture is confusing me as there shouldn't be one there - certainly not in a shot that close!

It could be me being dim!!

Nevertheless, have used those measurements and got it in what I think is the correct posisiton, especially going off my Q7 S-Line.

WIll post a pic once I've juiced my phone :)

I believe so. Those are the measurements I used when putting the black badges on mine. The panel on the right is the door so that would be the passenger side. I'll go take a photo of mine for reference.

Me being dim then - don't worry - mine are fine in that case, might be a few mill off but look fine :)

Badges on, 'rear rings' :screamcat: coming tomorrow in gloss black along with another set (hopefully put up a picture and see what everybody thinks!)

Just given it a quick snow foam wash as it was sealed by the garage prior to sale and came up looking good :)

Just diffuser, skirts and tints + wrap to be done for the cosmetics!

Think I don't like it either... Only did it on the one handle and will be removing later :)

Only cost a quid for the stickers!

I'm sure some marques have something similar albeit in the same colour as the body
