Vent Control Dial Not Illuminating

The dial nearest the passenger door has never illuminated since I've had the car. I thought it was possibly not supposed to but that would be a bit strange I feel.

Can anyone confirm this is a fault, & if so, how easy it would be to put right? Pic attached.

Just checked mine and it’s illuminated.

Yours must be under warranty still so book in with Audi to sort?

I’ve just had my whole dash removed for a repair to the SOS antenna and noticed that now the drivers side vent isn’t illuminated. If it means lots of trim being removed I’ll live with it, but if it’s a quick fix I’ll take it in / do it myself!

Sorry, only just seen this.

Haven't done anything about it at all as yet. Same boat as you, if someone can point me in direction of a quick easy fix would have a go but not wanting the dash removed.

Thanks Darky, looks like that would help Blessed_Badger but the dial that isn't illuminating on mine is the opposite side, nearest the passenger door. Do you have similar for that side?

Thanks for all the help DarkyUK. I decided to ring the dealer who’d removed the dashboard and the receptionist said to pop in that night and a tech would give it a look over and do it there and then if he could - or book it in if it needed major surgery!

Half an hour later, I was fully illuminated again and driving home.

Changing subjects. Where do you get those diagrams from? Are they available freely on the internet? Looking for one to swap out the front grill for an RS style one but want to know what I’m getting into first before spending £250-£300!
