Hi All

Well we had a sudden snow fall up here last week, so thought time to get ready for winter and get my new winter wheels and tyre's fitted. Gone down to 18" & 225 width for winter driving up here in the snow.

Now bring on winter :)

Good plan, just as Audi advise!

I just go down to 18" but use the normal 245/40 Alpins probably as I tend to keep them on for 6 months to cover the wet period before and after winter.

If it was for occasional snow use I would have gone 245/40, but as we get proper winter conditions up here and I occasionally pop to the Alps in the winter I went to a more snow friendly 225/45...

I'd think that the S4 would get bogged down due to not much ground clearance before it loses grip, that is what I've found in snow, and yes we get quite a bit down here as well unfortunately made worse by being just on or just below the notional "snow line".
