Thanks @Jimbob76 , that was a good read. And completely agree with all of it, we don’t need to take bad service, and decent independents are undoubtably more knowledgeable and will do a better job, and you can still comply with warranty requirements...however. The only thing that potentially stops me from going down this route is the unknown in that the car then doesn’t have AFSH come sale time. Maybe it is not much at all, but I know if I was looking for a used that is what I would want. Difference being if you are an enthusiast and buys say S3 or similar that has been tuned and maintained by MRC for example, that wouldn’t matter.
A full Audi Service History doesn’t matter to me as I’ll be keeping the car for a decade by which time the impact on resale value will be less important than the overall condition of the car which has been looked after the same person for decade and the wad of paperwork and history I’ve kept.
