Afternoon guys,

I've finally become the owner of a 2007 A3 TFSI 1.8. I've been driving the car now for around 3/4 days and I'm absolutely loving it! It's a fairly decent upgrade from my 2002 1.25 Fiesta!

I've booked in to get the car stage 1'd which I'm pretty excited for but my only concern is that I'll get used to the speed as I already have with the car being stock.

So my question is, what will I need to buy for the car so it can handle the extra power of a stage 2?

Sorry for the newb question, I'm fairly new to the mod scene.

Thanks

The minimum you need for a stage 2 is an intake and a downpipe with a sports cat or a decat. Then a remap to take advantage of the hardware.

Greta stuff mate, thanks a lot for that. I'll start pricing up

So we're talking like £800 all in?

As Peter said, stg 2 is downpipe and intake - . Stage 2+ is quite a bit more.

Before my S3 I had a 1.8 (MY09) - I was surprised about how few aftermarket mod parts there are for the 1.8tfsi my wish list would have cost more than trading up to an S3 (hence the trade up). RamAir do a filter kit which gives a bit of sound.

I had a RamAir kit on my Fiesta, gave it a nice deep roar which I'm missing from my A3 :/ I'll have a look around for the best price on an intake and update you guys when it's fitted.
