Facelift THE NEW AUDI A3 (2016 FACELIFT) – STILL AHEAD OF THE CURVE

Is the colour Nano Grey available to order on the A3 as part of the exclusive colour range?

It's a standard metallic colour.

Hmm.

My wife bought a Nano Grey A1 in January.
Last week we traded it in for a VW Scirocco.....the main reason?
We just couldnt live with the colour.

Each to their own, but its quite bland in our opinion. Its also very easily marked. We have never had a car that got stonechips so easily.

When I first heard it was a metallic colour I was quite surprised, as I thought it looked pretty "flat" from the photos I had seen. I think it's a love it/hate it sort of colour.

Is this Nano Grey?

That looks quite teal/aquamarine - also looks quite CGI'd.

These are the most "in the flesh" pictures I could find on audi's media center website that look like they haven't been CGI'd as badly as the rest of their photos. I actually really like the color that I'm seeing below, what are your thoughts?

I also found this picture on another thread talking about all of the different audi blue's that @jassyo06 posted. This color below is a slightly darker mystic blue, but I think it gives us a good idea of what cosmos might look like on the saloon.

There's a video on this thread of a SB Cosmos (were the stills were taken from)....lemme do some searching....because photos don't show the full 'picture' I reckon a poor lit picture of Scuba would be more comparable.....the saloon looks good in black...looks good in Scuba....so a dark blue should also look good..it will spend most of its life looking just blue (as mine does looking just grey)....if it has to be blue... then Cosmos is hobson's choice... ...all of Audi's colours have something about them...we all are looking for something extra special ....but realistically how different can greys silvers blues blacks be....unless you go exclusive....the saloon looks good in every colour IMO...okay maybe not 'yella' (but it would in an S/RS guise!)

This pic is scuba..and looks good...we know the saloon looks good in black so mix them together and we have cosmos (in the shade)

Does anyone know if these are the standard 17" Wheels for the sport, or the optional 18"'s. I havent been able to find a proper side shot of the new standard 17" of the sport (seems like Audi is not too keen on showing them either for some reason)

My joy for you has just turned into jealousy lol
Everything comes to he who waits...Its actually the car that was going into their showroom..thats how i got it so fast. i had bought a "65" plate red A3 diesel other week but changed my mind about the diesel. i asked em to quote me for a new A3 Saloon and the one they had ordered for showroom was a similar spec and so they offered it me. Did the deal and it actually ended up cheaper than the diesel on pcp so was a no brainer really and im getting a few extras i didnt spec.

didn't think to ask about that but will take your word for it. i believe that the door sill plates light up and am sure i've read somewhere that the handles outside the car light up at night or something

Very nice, colour suits it much better than a TT in my opinion, that's the only other car I've seen it on in the flesh.

Definitely looks better on the saloon rather than the A1.

Just be careful. Its a difficult colour to maintain and marks very very easily.

My wifes A1 was sold with 1700 miles on it, all done on local roads. It had around 9/10 noteable stonechips on the bumper and bonner. Never had anything like that on a car before after so few miles.

Yes, definitely like those alloys! Checked to see if available on the 3 dr, but afraid not. Colour does suit the car - congrats!! :D

wow thats not good. hope it not as bad as that...but then i have a black A3 at moment and that shows stone chips easily as well

I do like the alloys....I may not have selected them w/o seeing them.....as I do like the standard parallels..and I recall those being £900 ?....BUT they look nicer than the launch pics and they are different ...so yes they still get a thumbs up from me.....

My story started in January 2016...so 19/9 is laaaaaaaate......and I was hoping to get some use out of the panny roof....but hey....I was officially the first UK owner of a SB COD so I guess it was my time to have a delay.

The seat material...is it slightly different to the PFL?

Officially first owner of a FL saloon I wonder?

Yes the door sill plates will and the handles should have lighting, but also on the inside there's a thin LED strip near the inner handles that will light up, others thought it may have been part of a separate pack but I'm thinking this confirms it's part of the ILP that is now standard. See extract from your image, the thin line beneath the silver plastic trim.

yes seat materail slightly different..steering wheel has more dish on it too but still flat bottom. i have the standard wheels on my 3dr A3 at moment and are a pig to keep clean and thats why i wanted the others, yes £900. Really wanted the 19" wing arms but £1100 plus £900 for mag ride as you cant have em without it.
Yes guess i may be first owner of fl saloon.. not officially out yet but they let me test drive it

Actually might not be standard that bit as the car has " brushed alluminium inlays " were a £200 option so not sure of diffrence to standard to be honest Jordan.

Ah..I always assume everyone can see my sig....not always the case as i discovered when posting from my phone one night...Saloon 1.4COD s line in Floret with pan roof and p glass....I did order a PFL in Misano originally and was poised to put the new order in as soon as the order book opened but for no fault of mine ended up ordering 3 weeks in...which pushed it into September but at least it carries a 66 plate I guess!

I would be surprised if this is include with the interior light package, as its an easy £200 for Audi & the name "light design inlays" puts this in the right ball park. I would be very happy to be proven wrong, would love this to be included, just cant see it happening... I also read somewhere that only the front door sills would light up? seems a shame for us 5 door folk :worried:

i agree Jordan but cant really shed any light on the issue as mine has the upgraded inlays

Funnily enough it was my other half that pushed me to get the roof.....I did want the roof but initially tempted to spend the £1k elsewhere..and with it being basically the same car as I have albeit with a boot I wanted it to feel different within the cabin so the roof won(had to sacrifice the alcantara interior once the FL price was released)...but its good to know the material is slightly different.

I've now been told if I wished to remove the Matrix LED lights to speed things up my car still won't be built till Week 37. What a joke!!!

I honestly don't know how, or why, they can let you option/buy something that won't be available for months (5/6 months minimum in this case). Dealer stated I wouldn't know my Build week til week 36 if I kept the order as is.

Not very happy at them moment TBH

Mmmmm, will be surprised if the boots aren't Continental. As I have an A3 SB on order I'm damn well going to ask on Monday :blackrs4:

Just picked up my A3 FL cab and it has Michelin primacy 3's on it if that helps.
