So, I have a 3.2 V6 Cab Quattro. It's hard to work out looking at all of these sites that tell you to enter your reg so you know what you need. Then it presents me with about 4 different brake disc sizes. It looks like it might be 345mm's however if I'm wrong then they won't fit on the carrier or potentially behind the wheel though they're 18's so there should be room (Never had the wheels of my car!) am I wrong or not? Any help is much appreciated. Either way my brakes are terrible, really do not slow me down any where near as quick as I was expecting, my friend has an A4 Avant 2.0TDI and he says the same thing about his. I've got almost 200KG's more weight though so I don't know. I'd expect them to be better.

I have 345mm brakes on my B8 and they fit with 17 inch wheels, so won't be a problem with 18 inch wheels.
If you look at the build sticker for the car you will see the option codes for the build.

Have a look for 1LA which is 320mm brakes or 1LJ for 345mm brakes.
If you have 320mm brakes you could upgrade to 345mm brakes by getting calipers second hand.

I would look into getting some EBC redstuff pads, I have these on my car and find them really good.

Thanks mate will take a look for the Build Sticker, any idea where it is Google hasn't been particularly helpful. Also have heard good things about EBC Brakes so will take a look at those pads.

There should be a copy of the build sticker in the service book or in the front of the handbook. The one in the car is usually in the spare wheel well .Or somewhere in the boot.

I'd just get a decent set of pads/discs, was going to get 245mm myself but after doing the math of paying a couple hundred for calipers then having to pay a premium price for pads and discs every time they need swapping I decided against it.

eBay is generally best for prices, got myself something similar to these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUDI-A4-TDI-S-LINE-B7-AVANT-BRAKE-DISC-MINTEX-CROSS-DRILLED-BRAKE-PAD-FRONT-REAR-/300826987423?fits=Car+Make:Audi|Model:A4&hash=item460aaf8b9f:g:s1QAAOSwgQ9Vu7JB

Thanks for the tip buddy. Will keep that in mind.
