GIAC can flash these new ECUs, but they have to remove the ECU and flash it on a bench. In my opinion, that's not such a big issue given that any sort of remap invalidates your warranty anyway.
Yeah looks that way buddy. There is a change over point in the MY15 where they cant be done yet.
Air tec pluged the car in said couldn't be done, but when popped in amd they could as when they checked my car was actually built on 16th March so guessing I have the earlier ecu which is great for me
Most people who have tried the flash have been kicked off around 75% of the way through loading the files so im told. So you wont 100% know unless they try to do it.
A Revo port flashed car can be flashed back to stock at any time, completely removing all traced of the Revo file. We are yet to see a Revo car that's been flashed back to stock have any issues with a warranty claim. a permanent unlock however waves a solid goodbye to your warranty.
Thanks for the explanation. This is very interesting news to me. If my turbo blows up and I'm stuck on the side of the road, how could I flash it back to stock? Will the Revo SPS device allow me to do this?

Thanks for the vote of confidence Steve I am currently running a Burger Motorsports JB1 on my S1, but I still want a proper remap. I still need to get my car recovered to a garage to get the JB1 removed, so I'd almost be no worse off with a remap.
I thought the JB1 was a plug and play system? @thewanted
