pretty simple really. what are the best type of these as i heard a few can break when doing them up.

In stainless only please. Remember to add 10mm to the size to take into account the silicon, so for a 63mm silicon pipe, the OD will be around 73mm. Match your clamp size to that.
I used jcs hi grip (got mine from Amazon) and got it smoke tested right after I put it all together and thrashed it about a bit, not a single leak. And now done almost 1000 miles and still going strong
Don't forget all pipes need to have some form of bead rolled end as no clamp however good it is will prevent a hose from blowing off a non beaded pipe... tweaking the ends of the pipe with pliers isn't a substitute either as all that does is distort the pipe...
