Gearbox help ASAP! What gearbox? Audi S3 2008 (58) Quattro Manuel sportback

Hi guys I need help ASAP. It seems the several mechanics can't find the gearbox code anywhere, I can't find them anywhere in the owners Manuel or service book. I need to buy a second hand gearbox after cracking the crank box and the oil leaking out. There seems to be different codes, I have a 2008 58 plate sportback s3 is it KNZ or KDT etc, I was told by audi main dealer it was KNZ but he didn't seem sure and I found a KNZ online an when I typed in that mine is model 8PA it says that this gearbox isn't compatible with my car but is with the 8P1 (3 door) please help as I need to get her back on the road ASAP thank you in advance

if you have the box out its on a machines surface on top of the box ! , i know my 57 08 plate 3 door is kdt , but as long as the knz is a 02q box then i dont see why it would no work

I can't find it on the gearbox either, it's nowhere to be found, I just need to know the exact one to use as don't want to fork out all the money for the wrong gearbox

First page of ur manual or on the sticker in the boot under the boot mat. The code should be on there.
