Windscreen replacement

I've just had my front windscreen replaced and I'm not happy with the finish, the scuttle panel that goes along the bottom of the window is now sitting away from the window, if I push it down it springs back again, if it rains the water is just going to pour in behind the scuttle panel.

I told the fitter I wasn't happy with it but he said it's always the case with these cars, they never go back how they were originally, Is this a cop out or is there some truth in this ?

has anybody else had this problem after a replacement ?

Thats rubbish mate, it should ve put back how it was originally, mine has been replaced and was fine.

He's part of a company mate, insurance job.

I had a stone chip that cracked in mine, had it replaced by autoglass and it looked like new. He's talking out of his ar$e.

There is a channel that needs to be glued correctly onto the bottom of the screen... if this is not fixed right pushing the scuttle into it just pushes it down out the way and you will never get it to stick on right...

Windscreen bloke should sort it... <end/>
