Was going to go for 19s then came across these on eBay only 100 miles away! Got them for a great price!! Although had to replace the tyres as they were the wrong size!! They were an upgrade option I believe on the A6 2014 model....
Good to see people doing something different! Though this time I'm not massively keen - but then it's not my car
Are the centre bore 57.1 for 8v? Just checking What spigot rings do people use, nylon or metal? And do people just use the standard wheel Bolts or if not what do I need to buy?
Yes, the center rim diamenter is 57,1mm on our 8V. And for the OEM standard S3 saloon rims in 19', the standard wheel bolts from the 18' rotors are perfect !
The one close up pic was taken just as it came off the ramp before moving, so does sit a little lower then that
How much more harsh is the ride going from 18" to 19" without Magnetic Ride on S3? I'm really tempted to go OEM 19" but with the not so perfect roads in Hong Kong, just afraid it would be too harsh...
Do these only come on the S3 saloon as a 19'' rim?. I love the 18'' version on my S3 sports hatch but the 19'' would be even better.
Yeah 19's only standard on the saloon mate. You might pick up a set online but you really need magride to go with it, plus they're rare as hens teeth!! Inspector Gadget (@Rob2k68) managed to source at set, ebay I think.
Yep that being the Heath Hen !! Took me a year to find them but glad I specced mag ride as an option ready for them.
Nice! I've gone for the same look on mine, they're not reps though as I wouldn't fancy them after the bad press they get, due to buckling etc so I went for these instead - made by OZ and they aren't a bad price either, available in 19's as well:
Is there much difference to the car going from standard 18'' alloys to genuine 19'' ones?. Has any one fitted the ''small'' wheel arch blades they seem to have from the factory on 19'' alloys & do they have handling /comfort problems etc without the mag ride option?. Thanks in advance.
Would you know the saloon arches bigger than the hatch? or whats the reasoning for this to confirm do all S3 saloon comes with 19" from release?
Saloon has a wider track than the hatch and S/B and more clearance to the body panels to accommodate - yes, the saloon S3 comes with mag ride and 19s standard but costs more in the first instance.
I'm currently running Rotiform SPF 19x8.5 et45 with a 12mm spacer on the rear to make the rear look a little wider. I'm also running ST springs that gave me approximately a 25mm drop. On the wheels, I have 225/35/19 Hankook S1 Evo2 tyres all round which have a very very slight stretch on the sidewall. About two months ago, I got my wheels powdercoated satin black, and painted my centre caps in Audi Brilliant Red. Last year, I ran my brothers BBS XA 18x8.5 et48s for a few weeks. Very similar in design to the S3 wheels only these are satin metallic black with a satin clear over the diamond cut face. These wheels will also be for sale soon if anyone's interested! I love this look, tempted to do something similar with mine but can't decide what exactly, maybe the revo embossing in red or silver?
Cheers mate. I have my wheels, Sline badges and my DTUK decals all matching Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Might be an idea to sticky this thread? Also anyone posting, would be a good idea to list stuff like offset, suspension, spacers etc?
Were these standard with Mag Ride or changed up from 18's please...looks mint...looking to lower mine 25mm on standard 18's but might go up a size but wasn't sure why Audi wouldn't supply 19's without the Mag Ride option?
