I unplugged my exhaust valves today. Can’t really hear ANY difference at all from 1-3k revs. And the sound above 3k is the same too. Cars only done 1400 miles. Hopefully louder when more miles on it!
Above 3k it should sound the same as being in dynamic mode above 3k prior to unplugging them as all 4 valves would be open at this point anyway.I unplugged my exhaust valves today. When I started the car up I put it into Dynamic, not 100% if I shifted into S though? (Will that affect it?)
Another thing is when I start the car now I can feel exhaust gas from all four pipes, which means all valves open yes?
Pictures didn't want to load!

I started it up and definitely put into Dynamic before unplugging, and can now feel all four exhaust pipes releasing gas. But sound wise I have found no difference whatsoever. No farts when changing gears unless its over 3k revs, which is same as when plugged in.
Love it. Looking very nice....hard to beat DG + BSP.Have her a quick clean today and fitted a replacement front plate and some black Audi rings to compliment the splitter and BE look.

@S3GEEZER These look pretty sweet! Do you have a link to the ones you bought?
Not an A3 but had this Q3 2.0 TFSI S-Line on hire for a week over Crimbo. F*** me! Coming from my 1.6tdi I was so impressed with the engine. Sounds really nice in Sport/Dynamic mode and pulls really well. Wasn't completely won over the performance but I guess that engine in the A3 is better as it the car will be lighter. The S-tronic gearbox was superb. Made me realise how much I miss it. I had the DSG version in a 2010 Scirocco, vowed then to never go back to a manual but my current A3 was a good bargain so had to go for a manual. Having said this, the 2010 DSG & this 2017 S-tronic didn't seem far off in performance which is strange. Maybe side by side I might have seen a bigger difference but I was surprised that some negative points still exist and haven't been ironed out.
Q3 is a nice car and made my 2014 A3 feel old. The Zenon/LED lights & beam assist are amazing, worked seamlessly. Q3 DIS is pants as is the interior. Dated and boring. MMI is rubbish, knobs don't work and feel bad quality.. If the Q3 had an A3 interior then I would seriously consider it. maybe when its replaced by the new model in 2019 it ill be a more stylish approach & not just a bodge job interior to save money.

I was quoted £1000 yesterday for the oh-so-common Haldex Pump Repair Kit, oil & labour from a local Audi dealership (sadly I'm just outside of warranty).
Needless to say I ran for the hills at such an absurd quote, 4 hours labour?!?! Shocking to say the least.
Have got it booked in for £300 all-inclusive later today at a VAG Specialist, wish me luck!
Where are the after photos?!
Never come across this before on here, what was the issue that’s caused the need for a new pump? Symptoms etc?
Good luck anyway!
A bit tooEmmanuel Design magnetic phone mount with Baseus magnet

Yer a bit critical of its interior yeah it's MMI is slightly old tech by Audi's standards but comparing it with other cars in its class like Renault /Nissan /Honda it's still better and the interior doesn't stop Audi selling them by the bucket load, l see more Q3"s on the roads than A3"s its still a very very desirable car for a lot of people and it looks stunning in white, yeah there will be a replacement soon as you state but a very expensive one at that, there's some cracking deals to be had on the current modelNot an A3 but had this Q3 2.0 TFSI S-Line on hire for a week over Crimbo.
