Not used it myself mate...but when it was introduced it came with one huge Marketing hype typical of the RAGMASTER guys....it's okay l presume...all l know is on its first application a lot of product is necessary then far less on the 2nd and 3rd t's similar too Done n Dusted.....Uber high on gloss levels but not a BEADING monster....it's summer mate...time = Waxing a car but you've coated both of yours ....Eh...???
I wouldn't necessarily say all retailers p&p are a rip off. Remember they are at the mercy of the courier plus the packing materials. I think what may have happened is they can no longer absorb delivery in the cost of the products as the market has become more competitive. Added to which we may have become accustomed to buying one item at a time when free delivery was more widely available and this is no longer sustainable by the retailer Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk
Yes, fair comment mate, but many other things you buy (much bigger than detailing stuff) often has free delivery
Mate, talking about the wheel cleaner (brake buster) not the bead maker or whatever their QD is. I just use Cure to top up my cars, but added CanCoat to properly top up my coating after a year. Awesome awesome gloss, shine and beading
Again not used it mate, but l used gtechniq's W6 the other day on Jordan's X5 wheels, they hadn't been cleaned for over 3 months....applied it and he rinsed it off whao mate...it took all the guff off with the pressure washer just as good as bilt hamber wheel cleaner £9-95 for £500mls my point is all quality fallout removers/wheel cleaners all seem to perform the same I bought it off Amazon by the way Sent from my SM-A715F using Tapatalk
Fair comment, and agree BH is ace, just liked the idea of the foaming action on the wheels and tyres, and highly rated by Forensic Detailing and others. But I still have loads of BH, as well as new bottle of Valet Pro Dragon’s breath.
Any recommendations for tyre gel/cleaner? Tried the Meguiars Endurance Tyre Gel for the first time today and it seemed as if the Michelin PS4's just sucked it all up! Couldn't see much difference in the before/after. I am wondering if I didn't use enough of it or didn't apply it correctly?
You say tyre cleaner but you're applying a dressing? Which might explain it. You need to properly clean your tyre and then apply the dressing, that will then give the finish you're after. Sent from my HD1913 using Tapatalk
Sorry for confusion, I did properly clean the tyres and car before applying it. I did a full wheel clean > snow foam > shampoo and then used the tyre dressing.
Michelin tyres are known for this,ie tyre dressings not adhering properly to the sidewall, try scrubbing them with a proper tyre cleaning brush using a wheel cleaner/fallout remover and yes use a wheel cleaner as its probably the strongest non caustic solution you can use without causing damage to the alloy, megs doesn't really cure so it's almost impossible to layer the dressing, try a tyre dressing that does cure that way you'll be able apply a few coats, carpro perl can be layered or even diluted to give different finishes Sent from my SM-A715F using Tapatalk
Just pulled the trigger (literally) on a MTM short trigger gun (Hydro Astra HP Swivel) for my K4 Premium. Already have one from I2D, but this is much more premium (in my opinion ) Also got some Gyeon Q2 tire (love this stuff!) and some interior cleaner
Ordered some of the following, not used before but worth a shot - Autobrite very cherry wheel clearer - Autobrite FAB upholstery cleaner - 5x Autobrite bottles for diluting Surfex HD and above products Sent from my HD1913 using Tapatalk
i saw something very similar to this on Amazon....£40 bangers but not a lover of these nozzles as most aint suitable/useless for car washing...think the yellow one was the best out of them all
They are all obv. Different degrees, and current one the white is best for car...40 deg. Until you use one of these short triggers, you don’t realise how good they are.
Agree, really good. Yellow think its 45 degree is by far the best. I also got an attachment which is basically a bent tube which you can connect the jets to for wheel arches. Absolutely brilliant for arches. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
Ah fair enough, I will give the yellow a go. I remember Imran saying just chuck the red one away, as otherwise you will have no paint left. Waiting on the “bent tube/lance” to come back in, but even the short trigger is brilliant on wheel arches tbf.
I got mine from iodetail and really liking it, short handle is great for getting into the arches and that. I use the white (40 degree) and don't use anything else. Although now my car is wrapped I gotta be more careful. Sent from my HD1913 using Tapatalk
Never mind short triggers lol another karcher blew up on me today...one l had borrowed from work a K5-5.....THING JUST blew up lol....it was a few years old but rarely used and l aint taking the blame for it....**** em lol for myself a short trigger gun is unnecessary that Big Boi pressure washer had a similar trigger gun with them multi coloured nozzles
There is an A5/S5 around on my turf that has the exact same colour of wrapping as your car mate....just noticed your avatar...saw the A5 today.....its in yer face thats for sure...but different in a good way...
Yeah I like it and has had a lot of good feedback, would be surprised if it is the same colour as it is a pretty new wrap colour! Sent from my HD1913 using Tapatalk
You must have an extra strong magnetic field that is specially tuned for Karchers That is some record. Still, anyone want a new Karcher replaced under warranty? Just lend it to Jassy........... Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk
Post a photo l am sure it's the same colour or almost mate l have very good eye for car colours....couldnt believe it myself to be honest
Want to get into detailing and I've got a karcher k2 and thinking of buying the autoglym polar blaster (foam gun). Before I full the trigger, just want to know has anyone got any used it before? Is it any good? how good would it be with bilt hamber auto foam?
I have never used, but @jassyo06 has and rates I think. I have a couple of the autobrite that are bullet proof and work For me. BH Autofoam is one of the best. Not high foaming but very effective. I use that, Gyeon Q2 Foam and Autoglym polar blast
Hi guys. Love this thread. I was wondering what your guys thoughts are on paint chip repairs, either diy or professional. Seem like I’m finding more every time I clean my car. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Here yah go, colour is a nice catchy name... Avery Dennison Satin Metallic Stunning Orange: https://imgur.com/krpNvAU https://imgur.com/EMsJEz2 https://imgur.com/7gH11tt Sent from my HD1913 using Tapatalk
Yeah l bought one last week, foaming wise it's the best lance l have used so far and you cant fail to get great results with it.....bit expensive at £40 but it comes with real brass fitments and brass/steel quick disconnect adaptor for karcher pressure washers looks the part as well and it doesn't fall over easily when sat down which most snow foam Lance's tend to do Sent from my SM-A715F using Tapatalk
