urgent help req pls.... oil on drive

ok so last night I put my car away and found a patch of oil on the drive from the rear of the car.

So this morning I set about looking at the rear diff to find all of it is dry appart from a metal plate connected to the diff with 2 small bolts (8mm head)

This plate is drenched in oil but I cant see where its come from, no runs down the diff or anything. There is a electrical connector attached to this plate.

Im off rto take some pics now and have another look now the beer goggles have worn off.

any help ??? any ideas ???

It was water and not oil lol.

spare oil bottle leaked in spare wheel well.

been there done that.

oh what a fool I feel, but on the bright side my controller is ok so I can spend what I saved on that on some nice new suspension
