A work colleague was recommending this device to me for my S3, but to be honest I've never heard of it? Does anyone have any experiences with it? Also I wasn't sure if the S3 was fly-by-wire. Is this the case?

Yes the S3 throttle is a drive-by-wire potentiometer. If your looking at something to liven up the throttle response look at fitting a pedal box or ultimately get it remapped and a pedal box for more power and quicker response. A new DV+ valve will also get the engine to boost quicker due to the better internals of the valve so lots to choose from.

Thanks for clearing that up Brodster, I wasn't sure if it was fbw or not. My car is remapped but got the usual problem with the crappy DV valve I have on there, Rev C. So Thursday swapping out for a G, in fact I'm thinking of getting the GFB DV + unit. Is adding the Pedal box worth it in your opinion?

Some mapping companies also supply linear throttle maps as a part of the service if you like....maybe worth asking your software supplier if they do.
