possibly a stretched timing chain issue sound rough on cold start up
when warmed up still relatively loud
no management lights no performance issues cambelt changed at audi is due at nov2015

Err... you say stretched timing chain the. Say the timing *belt* was/needs to be changed? It will either have a chain or a belt, not both.

belt drives the chain as chain is supposed to be lifetime use but looks like it is faulty

The FSi engine has a belt for the timing between the crankshaft & one of the camshafts. The other camshaft is timed to this camshaft on the oppposite side of the engine using a chain.
