Hi all
Ive changed my standard cd unit with my beloved alpine cd / blue tooth / ipod player and i have a hissing sound when there is a quite time in the music??????

I have amplified rear speakers! and had to put a live to make the rears work !
I think ive not got it wired in right??????

You've used the wrong adapter. You probably have the speaker input adapter which uses a really nasty high-low converter to take the amplified speaker output back down to pre-amped signal to feed to the rear amp. This is then reamplified by the rear amp and thus you get hissing and usually interference as well. You need the PC9-404 RCA input adapter (providing the HU has rear pre-outs) which just feeds the preamp signal direct to the rear amp with no electronics in the middle. If the HU doesn't have pre-outs then you'd need to buy a better quality hi-lo converter (or a better HU).
