MMI 3G DAB unit?

Afternoon all,

Just window shopping really for a DAB tuner. My car already has the 3G high system but as it is a MY2010 (registered end of Dec 2010) the unit already fitted in the boot has a C7 part number (4G0 035 056). I presume I will need a part number starting with 4F0 to do the DAB retrofit? I assume, buying a 4G0 unit which came fitted to a C7 will only work with 3G+?

There is only one 4G0 part number coming up in etka for the C6 digital radio module (4G0 035 061 DX) that would be compatible, later units taken from a C7 may have incompatible software.

These are all the 4F0 units, any of them will work,as it's only the software that is install on the unit that changes the end letter and that could be updated to the latest MMI version. Main thing is the ending numbers PN# must end with 061 (056 is analogy only)
