Lead In Boot

Gave the Audi a bit of a clean (see other thread for pics) and I came across a lead in the boot where the sub is - (pics below) to my very limited knowledge is this the lead for a cd changer ?

It looks like it mate, looks very similar to the lead above my sub in my old 1999 1.8ts

Yep, it's the CD changer wire. IMO you are probably better off ignoring the changer and getting an iPOD or Aux interface and plugging that into the other end of the changer cable where it plugs into the back of the head unit.
