Heated Steering Wheel

Hi All,

I've bought a SCSM module that is Highline and accepts Heated Steering wheels, looking at limited feedback it looks like its not possible to get a Heated Steering Wheel easily but was just checking it's defiantly not something that's available easily for our cars?

Like the heated windscreen option, it's never AFAIK been offered in the UK.

Have a look at the Bentley circuit diagrams, they give all the information on the modules and connections for the heated windscreen option on the A4 - so I guess it may have been offered on other Audis too?

Some VAG cars have them, my Superb certainly has one. (cost option)

But talking about heated steering wheel! LOL :)

No worries, thanks everyone...pity...was hoping with a Highline and MFSW with heated element in it would be something we could easily have!

Hi..
I’m doing this retrofit..
I got the
8E0953549Q module
4E0953541B clockspring
Also just received a heated 4 spoke of an A6 4F.

The clockspring has pins for the heat connector..

But been told that the Q version doesn’t support heating.
Although RossTech says so..
But I can’t code it with VCDS full version.
16: steering wheel, coding, I need to add +2 to the third digit..
But it doesn’t change

So I’m thinking the Q module doesn’t support heating after all...

Looking at other modules, R modules definitely supports heating..

But they are more expensive than the A6-versions

Hooked up the parts today just to realise that the pins are empty in the connector to the module..
Any one knows where they are sourced from??

It’s pin 6 and 7 from what I can see

Was told now, by a german “friend” that the heating button in the steering wheel doesn’t work, and that it’s via the heated seat.
So will check this tomorrow when the car is cold
