To cut a long story short one of my KW adjustable tie bars snapped at the adjustment bolt a while back whilst trying to free it up for alignment...Very Bad. Getting some of S3Daves stainless one to replace it. Car has been up on supports for 10 days now : (

On checking the rose joints/Sperical joints on the hubs (4 on the car) i have noticed that one of them is seized solid! Not good. This was on the other side to the bar that snapped so nothing to do with that.

I know audi recalled some earlier models, my s3 falls outside of the recall so i am going to have to buy more joints myself.

My question is can these be replaced DIY stylee on the car or should I let the garage do it before alignment. Has anyone done this themselves? I have changed bushes before but not these. I have heard audi do it on the car, no need to remove the hub.

A seized joint will lead to total arm failure (happened lots of times) so i know it needs to be done. Should i replace all 4 or just the seized one?!?!

Thanks
