Full service + extras

Hi all,

Looking at getting a complete service for my car plus extras. I will be going to a specialist who maintain warranty + use genuine parts.

I’m looking at getting;

Oil + filter
S tronic oil and filter
Haldex filter clean + oil change
Spark plugs
Air con recharge + anti bac
Front bevel box and rear diff oil
Pollen filter

How much do you think is a fair price/how much would you be willing to pay?

(Don’t need an air filter as I clean my own aftermarket filter) Thanks.

I paid around £650 when I got my car a few months ago for full engine service including new spark plugs and oil change, new pollen filter, Haldex oil change and filter clean and DSG oil change.

Hi Tom,

Below are the prices you would pay at an independent garage, based on the quotes I had when getting work done. To be honest they are not much less than the main dealer, and the main dealer can be cheaper in some instances. I’ve also put in blue the main dealer price so you can compare. As an example I had my Haldex and S-tropic service at a main dealer for £224 who price matched the Skoda main dealer next door to them. Cheapest quotes from I had from independents was £300 when the price from Audi is £24.

Oil + filter £110 £170 but will price match
S tronic oil and filter £190 £225 price match option
Haldex filter clean + oil change £90-110 £99
Spark plugs £40
Air con recharge + anti bac £79 £79
Front bevel box and rear diff oil £180-200? Audi will sell you the oil but not sure if they will do the work as it’s sealed for life
Pollen filter. £30 £40 but you can but the genuine filter for £12 and for yourself
